Hazelwood High School is, at first glance, just another high school in another historical Boston suburb - Leominster, Massachusetts. The students there run the gamut from floaters to overachievers, slackers and bullies and everything in between. The students in fact, seem to be the only ones aware of what lurks just beneath the surface of their quiet little existence - the strange sounds in the halls, the cryptic and unsettling messages carved into bathroom stalls, the things that happen there late at night when the janitors are still cleaning up and the football team is getting ready to leave from practices. Every attempt to talk to the adults of the town results in blank stares at best, dismissive laughing at worst. Lately, the creepy incidents have become more and more frequent and exponentially scarier, and it has become increasingly clear to Hazelwood's student body that it's going to be up to them to deal or be dealt with by whatever is haunting their school.

| We all know the rules by now, right?
Journals and AIM sns must include your character's name somehow, it's just easier that way. No underscores or numbers. Activity checks will be done regularly, since this is intended to be a fairly small group psl game, every two weeks. Weekly chats will happen at random, and everyone who is online will be invited. PBs must not be any more than five years younger or older than the character they are intended to portray. Use spellcheck, no one likes a friends page that they can't read. Don't be a drag, just be a queen - but not a drama queen, not OOC anyway, or we'll boot you.
On a more game-specific note, please remember that this game is going to include some spookier themes, though not necessarily dark. Depending on the dynamic the game takes on, which is entirely up to you lovely players, the supernatural elements could be interpreted as silly and fun or genuinely creepy.
Also, if you're interested in having your character be the subject of random, sporadic mod-chosen events/circumstances, please do let us know in your application. We're certainly not going to kill off any characters or even drop them into some kind of drastic situation, but we thought a few surprises might shake things up among the student body somewhat. Ghostly sightings and incidents will be posted in the random community every once in a while, so keep an eye out for things your character might have seen! | |
